Blue Ocean Consulting, a Kansas City-based custom software development company, was recently featured in the Kansas City Business Journal for its year of development and growth. Thank you to Leslie Collins for writing a fantastic article. The article highlights how our business has changed over the past year as well as what our plans for further development are for next year.
Blue Ocean Consulting has gone through a lot of change over the past year. Earlier this year Scott Carson, who was previously VP of business development for Kauffman FastTrac, took the helm as new president after our previous president, Blaine Sampson, announced his retirement after working for the company since 2000.
Carson said, “Blue Ocean Consulting provides an excellent work culture and is positioned for rapid growth. Our leadership works hard to instill the entrepreneurial values and spirit in employees that our founders created. Our goals are to make our clients’ dreams a reality by solving complex business challenges with software.”
With Carson as new president, revenue has increased by 35 percent and we have grown our Blue Ocean team from 19 to 29 employees. As we move into 2016, we hope to continue our increase in revenue. Here at Blue Ocean Consulting we try to consistently stay ahead of trends in cutting technology to deliver results that most internal IT departments often can’t accomplish efficiently and on a budget.
Scott Woodward, co-founder of Blue Ocean Consulting said, “In the 20 plus years since we have been in business, we’ve kept the company moving forward by always seeking the optimal combination of available technologies for our clients. We have been able to continue to support our long time partnerships with clients both inside and outside of the Kansas City area.”
